Pajama Pants & Elephant Details

Happy, Happy Friday! I hope you all enjoy the long weekend. This upcoming week is officially my first week experiencing the madness that is NYFW up close and personal!

All summer I have been hunting down these types of pants. I wasn’t even sure what to call them, but they look super comfortable, without being sloppy and frankly I think they look so fashionable. The other day I went on C.Wonder’s Instagram account (which btw is incredible!) and saw a pair of camel printed pants and an elephant clutch. I, of course, freaked out and ran to the store. They had so many different colors and prints (the heart printed ones are next on my list!) and I finally figured out what to call them, since C.Wonder refers to them as the soft tapered pant. I started freaking out and mid freak out, my boyfriend proceeded to ask me “why are you buying pajama pants..?” I guess they are kind of like pajama pants….but more fashionable, versatile and socially acceptable to wear outside.

I honestly can not tell you how comfortable and confident I feel in these pants. They are just so effortless and versatile. I dressed it down here, but I know that by pairing it with a different shirt and different shoes I can dress it up. Plus I’m obsessed with this clutch! My mom loves elephants and growing up we always had at least one pair of a mommy and baby elephant figurine in the apartment so in a way they always reminded me of her and I, so getting this was a no brainer, especially when I saw there was a baby elephant on the back!!

At first when I saw the "pajama pants" trend and how it was going to be a big thing I was like, "why would I want it to look like I'm wearing pajamas? Won't I look like I just rolled out of bed?" But I feel that as long as you don't, like, wear a baggy sweatshirt with them or some other pajama-style clothing, you should be fine! And I can definitely see how you could dress them up, too, if you wore the right top and shoes, or accessorized. So now, long story short, I like them, haha. They seem so comfortable!

P.S. I love your clutch, and it's so sweet how it reminds you of you and your mom 🙂
