Cozy In Fair Isle At The New York Public Library

Happy Friday everyone!

This has been such a relaxing week for me. I’ve been incredibly motivated and work has been such a slow & happy environment this whole week. It’s literally the calm before the storm because once February hits we hit the ground running with multiple shoots already planned and did I mention all of this happens during fashion month…so that’s fun. But, in the meantime I’m enjoying the somewhat quiet environment we have now and I’m so excited to reunite with my some of my C&M family tonight for dinner and drinks!

When I think of the NYPL, especially in the winter, I think of having a Carrie Bradshaw moment. Basically wearing a fabulously cozy outfit, grabbing a great classic book and basically locking myself in the library for a day getting lost in a book. There’s honestly something about a library that I find so comforting and with miles of books, it just makes me so incredibly excited…but I’m also one of those people who can’t seem to sit still when it’s super quiet and I end up looking around and making more noise than is neccessary…oh well.
This fair isle printed sweater is so incredibly comfortable and warm and pretty much the perfect piece for reading books all day. I’m also loving my new DV Dolce Vita booties. I love a good chunky heel and a peep toe and can’t seem to get enough of Dolce Vita shoes. And I’m loving my new Tory Burch bag and have not stopped using it since I got it. It’s the perfect bag for work and I love that I can carry it as a top handle or on my shoulder with a long strap.
And….in case you didn’t notice, I cut my hair! I usually never keep my hair super long, but my senior year of college I really let my hair grow out and even my friends were shocked at how long it was getting. But, it was starting to weigh me down and looking a little dead, so I got it cut….and by “I”, I mean my mom was like “come on, your hair’s too long, you need to get it cut.” Yep, I’m a big kid and I make my own decisions…..but seriously I love it and my hair hasn’t been this short since last summer.
