Happy Wednesday Dolls!
Does anyone watch Big Brother?! It’s always my summer guilty pleasure and I can’t get enough of this season. Also wanted to let you all know that I’ll be uploading a new video to my YouTube channel tomorrow and will also link it to my blog here. If any of you make YouTube videos let me know! I love finding bloggers that do both so I would love to check it out!
Does anyone else find it funny or ironic that shopping for basic pieces is always so much harder than if you were looking for a designer dupe or something trendy? I have a million off the shoulder pieces in my closet, but have yet to find the perfect white tee.
I think the shirtdress silhouette is so classic and I’ve always loved the put together, ladylike vibe they give off, but for the life of me couldn’t find one that was flattering. I found most of them ran small, were super stiff and made me look so bottom heavy (which I am, but I don’t want to look that way!!). When I saw that Ann Taylor released this dress, I was first drawn in by the print. I mean, how gorgeous?! I’m not a bird lover by any means, but I love the tropical bird print and think it’s so fun and the mix of colors are my favorite. I decided to try this dress out because I was so much in love with the print and to my surprise it was supper flattering and comfortable. You can take off the belt if you want a loose and relaxed fit, but I prefer the cinched waist.
To pull out the pink from the dress, I paired my pretty little pink strappy heels and because I wanted to keep with that “I’m a classy lady” vibe, I added this classic boater hat.
Dress: Ann Taylor (on sale!). Shoes: Jimmy Choo. Hat: Nordstrom (similar). Bag: Celine. Earrings: Kendra Scott. Bracelet: Stella & Dot. Sunnies: Celine.
