Happy Monday loves!

I mentioned on this Instagram photo that I recently invested in some professional lighting & a tripod to help me make more YouTube videos that are hopefully better quality. So I spent the weekend filming videos and I’m excited to start sharing them very soon!

As happy as I am that all things fall are finally here and that November is right around the corner (Nov/Dec are my fave months, I love the holidays!), I’m just not quite ready to let go of my easy, breezy, summer wardrobe. Plus, when I realized that I was spending too much time worrying about Instagram and not enough time focusing on my actual blog, I started thinking what I really wanted my blog to be, what I want out of it and what I want people to walk away with. And, one of the biggest things is that I want to inspire people to really utilize their wardrobe and to find new ways to style the pieces they already have in their closet.

As nice as it is to always shop and to buy Nordstrom this and that and under $50 sweaters and jeans on sale and yada yada yada, I don’t think it’s always realistic, at least for me. I just don’t have this bottomless disposable budget and I think being stylish is just that, having a sense of style and being able to style an outfit and get creative, not just buying something new and throwing it on.

Anyways, that inspired me to figure out ways on how I can transition pieces I bought this summer and older pieces in my closet for this fall. One of my best buys from the last few months has definitely been this off the shoulder Asos dress. The price point was beyond perfect at $25 and came in a million and one colors. So to make it a little more cold weather appropriate, I threw on this Zara coat that has the cutest pattern and the tiniest fringe trim. I love how well the pattern complimented the pink dress. I liked the Upper East Side vibe of this outfit so I threw on my classic black pumps, but I think it would also look super cute with a pair of booties or OTK boots!
