Although unintentional, there’s a bit of a theme this week on Live Laugh Linda… stripes and white denim. Bell sleeve stripes and a white overall dress to be exact!
Let’s Talk Outfit Details
When I saw this striped bell sleeve top online, I was antsy to get my hands on it. I love to shop. Honestly, release me in any store and I can probably walk out with a ridiculous amount of stuff. But, every now and then, I see something and HAVE to have it. I don’t just want it in my life, I NEED it in my life. And that is how I felt about this top. I’ve had it for a while and just didn’t know how to style it. My natural instinct was to pair it with my signature black jeans or some white jeans, but that all just seemed so boring in contrast to such a statement top. So when the weather started warming up, inspiration struck me and I pulled out this white overall dress I fell in love with last summer (last seen here). I love how the two pieces look together and I added my boater hat and my new favorite summer sandals. The more and more I look at these pictures, I feel like I look like the boat rowers in Venice, but honestly I’m not mad about it!
Side note… in my headshot photo, you can totally see how red my nose was! Seriously, the allergies this season are kicking my butt. My eyes are so itchy and I sneeze with every step I take. I could barely get through this shoot cause I kept having to stop and blow my nose. I know, so attractive.
Just wanted to give you guys a quick update that Friday’s post is going to be a little different. We’re taking a break from outfit posts (don’t worry, they’ll be back on Monday!) and instead getting a little professional. I’m currently working on an advice piece for those of you who are going to be interning this summer, specifically in the fashion industry since it’s what I’m most familiar with. It’s funny because I really do have such a love for the fashion industry and it plays such a big role in my life, but I haven’t really incorporated it into the blog. So, I’m excited to share something new and different on Friday and I look forward to hearing your feedback!
Thanks for reading! Happy Hump Day!
