My Current Favorite Podcasts || September 2017

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend, I myself had an amazing weekend. On Friday night, I had dinner at a restaurant in the Lower East Side with my best friend for his birthday. Afterwards, I spent the night and some part of Saturday at my boyfriend’s place. He lives in the Lower East Side so I dragged him out to explore a little. It’s really such an eclectic part of New York and I’m looking forward to exploring the area more and sharing my experience on the blog! Anyways, I wrote a previous post about my favorite podcasts, but I’m always looking for new ones. So the list of favorites continuously gets updated. So today I wanted to share my current favorite podcasts, as of September 2017!

Serial

So many people have raved about criminal podcasts, but since I’m a big scaredy cat, I’ve never dove into them. However, after one too many recommendations for Serial, I decided to give it a try. I literally just started it on Friday and I am hooked. My coworker and I listened to it together and we almost stopped working because it was that good and we just wanted to focus on listening. Serial is based on a true story and in each episode the host reports the facts, talks to different people and digs deep to uncover new information regarding the case. It’s so interesting. I’m only on season one, but from what I heard, because of this podcast, the particular case in season 1 was reopened last year and the man in question is getting a retrial.

The Influencer Podcast

I listen to a lot of funny podcasts, but I try to avoid them during my morning commute since me laughing and smiling randomly is pretty weird. Recently, I’ve been loving listening to motivational/blog inspired podcasts during my morning commute. They help me kick start the day and feel incredibly motivated. I’ve been loving this one by Julie Solomon because I feel like she really targets and discusses facts that pertains to bloggers. She talks about everything from social media to being authentic to youtube and affiliate networks. I find it so refreshing and so helpful and she’s an amazing host.

The Goal Digger

Another motivational/blog inspired podcast. I specifically love the host Jenna Kutcher because her energy and spirit is so upbeat and positive that you can’t help but feel inspired. She’s also a fan of mac & cheese so I knew this was a good fit. This podcast is not only beneficial for bloggers, but for anyone trying to run a business or just someone looking for a little work inspiration. To be honest, I look at some of the episode titles and I think maybe this one won’t pertain to me, but I truly take something away from each episode. What I love is that she does a great job with offering a wide variety of topics, but it all seems to come together to help inspire you to achieve your final goal.

RuPaul: What’s The Tee? with Michelle Visage

I’ve recently become a huge fan of RuPaul’s Drag Race so when I discovered he had a podcast, I was so excited to give it a try. RuPaul & Michelle are hysterical together and the way they interact with their guests and each other make for a great hour. They have some great personal stories from past and present. What I love is that they bring on guests that I may not have heard of like old Hollywood legends or thought about listening to, like Amber Rose and Leah Remini and it just really opens your mind.

Straight Talk with Ross Mathews

I love Ross Mathews! The last time I did a post about my favorite podcasts, I had just started listening to this one and though I knew I liked it, I now am in love with this one. He is so funny that you can’t help but laugh about everything. The dynamic between him and his fellow cohosts really make you feel like you’re part of a family. The podcast used to be about 2 hours long once a week, but he recently changed it up to 1 hour twice a week. The shows are also filmed live so you can tune in live and take part in the chat room. It’s usually during work hours so I haven’t been able to do so, but it’s for sure on my list of things I want to do!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and if you have any podcast recommendations, I would love to hear! Have a great week everyone!
