I picked up this dress during the Nordstrom sale (it’s currently 40% off now!) and was so happy I did. I love wearing white after Labor Day because it makes more of a statement during the fall and winter. I love the soft flowy fabric, which was perfect to combat the summer heat and the long sleeves are not only perfect for helping me survive the very strong air condition at work, but also great for transitioning into fall. To make this dress more fall appropriate, I paired it with my favorite wool hat, which is an amazing investment piece and my brown booties, which has the coolest studded detail and are super comfortable. I think it’s perfect for this in between weather where our mornings are cool and the afternoons get hot. When the weather starts cooling down for good, I could totally see myself pairing this with a moto jacket… even though my favorite accessory will always be my favorite little guy. For every photo where he’s looking at the camera, there’s about 50 others where he was not cooperating!!
I also want to thank everyone who gave me their feedback in regards to my previous post on Instagram. I was feeling totally discouraged and ready to give up, but reading all of your comments definitely inspired me and gave me the motivation I needed. But, everything happens for a reason you know? So although I’m feeling newly inspired, I still believe that more of my energy should be focused towards my blog and making sure it’s everything I want it to be. I have a ton of new ideas and content that I want to put out and new series that I will be continuing and starting throughout the next few weeks. I’ve already added one new addition to my blog, which I’m very excited about. I don’t talk about this often, but one of the things I love to do is read. Ever since I was younger, I’ve loved to get lost in a book. My morning commute is about an hour long and consists of two trains so reading helps me pass the time. So I’ve added a “Currently Reading” section on my sidebar so you can see what I’m currently getting lost in and I would love to hear any recs you may have!
