Well, look who’s back. Thank you so much for bearing with me on my much needed break from the blog. The struggle was a little too real getting back to normal after my Vietnam trip. Adjusting to the time difference was the worst. I couldn’t sleep at night and would be so sleepy at work! I’m only now starting to sleep the whole night through. I also got super sick and had tonsillitis and at the risk of being dramatic, it was the worst! My face swelled up like the Nutty Professor. I also can’t even begin to explain how much I miss my family and I’m only now able to start looking at photos from my trip without bursting into tears!
Ok, that was a lot, but seriously the struggle was very real. I spent the weekend drinking a ton of water and binge watching Netflix (as per usual) and I’m starting to feel like I’m getting back to normal again!
Now on to today’s outfit…
We had a taste of spring weather last week and let me tell you, it was beautiful. It put me in the best mood and made me so excited for warmer weather. But, it also got me thinking of how to dress for transitional weather. Last week, I was very unprepared, I wore so many layers plus a thick scarf and a hat and I was sweating so much on the train. Plus I looked crazy amongst everyone else. I know I’m jumping the gun a bit since it’s still February, but the winter to spring transition is a hard one to dress for.
This look is definitely my go-to for the funky weather. I love opting for a sweater rather than a blouse since it’s thicker and I could get away with layering a denim jacket for warmth or just wear the sweater if it’s really nice out. I love my white skinnies so any chance that I can pull them out, I take full advantage of. Also these booties are crazy comfortable. When their team reached out to me to pick a pair of shoes to try, I figured these booties would be a great closet staple. They definitely are, but more importably they are seriously so comfortable!! The sole is cushioned so it’s basically like walking on a cloud.
I’m excited to start sharing outfit posts from Vietnam and sharing more about my experience and time there so be sure to check back on Wednesday.
Until then, thank you for reading!
