Today I’m excited to share another look from Vietnam. This trip was so special to me because it wasn’t just a vacation or a chance to explore a different country, it was so much more personal than that. I saw my grandmother, uncles and cousins for the first time in 17 years so it was definitely a much needed family reunion. As much as I miss my family and as sad as I am that I’m not currently there, it makes me really happy to go through my photos and think about all the memories that were made so as cheesy as I sound, my Vietnam posts are super special to me.
Before the tears start rolling, let’s talk about todays off the shoulder dress look.
I had the hardest time shopping for my trip, especially because I waited until the last minute and placed so many online orders, but also returned so much because nothing looked or felt right! It definitely made me feel discouraged until I happened upon Nordstrom’s new arrivals. Last summer, I fell in love with off-the-shoulder everything and since I was heading off to somewhere warm in the middle of January, I knew I needed to get back into an off the shoulder dress ASAP.
This chambray ruffled off the shoulder dress is from one of my favorite brands so I felt confident ordering it since most of their dresses fit my perfectly. The dress is pretty simple so I really wanted to play up my accessories. I grabbed my trusty hat, which let me tell you has been through hell and back during my travels! We rode around on mopeds and had to wear helmets so my hat was literally squished under the seat and again squished in my luggage. It’s barely alive.
I also wore my current favorite earrings, seriously I love them so much I need every single color. Also I love the colors and details on these sandals, plus they’re super comfortable. New shoes always give you blisters when breaking them in, plus I always get blisters because of my shoes when it’s super hot out, but these didn’t hurt me at all. I was waiting, but they were comfortable throughout the whole trip! And to finish off the look, I threw on one of my favorite purchases from my trip, this darling little cross body bag. To be honest, it barely fit my phone, but I loved it so much and not only did it go with everything, but it’s just perfect for a tropical getaway.
Be sure to check back on Friday since I’ll be sharing another post from Vietnam! Until then, thank you so much for reading!
