I feel like this week is flying by. I thought yesterday was Monday. Am I the only one?
Can’t believe we’re about to welcome March into our lives. February flew by whereas January dragged on. But, since it’s the end of the month I wanted to do a quick roundup of the photos I posted to Instagram this month. I wasn’t on top of my game when it came to posting to the gram this month so it’s shorter than January. I was honestly so busy and stressed at work so I was a little burned out when I got home and the last thing I wanted to focus on was Insta.
Anyways, if you’re new here, let me break down the layout for today’s Instagram fashion post. I like to split it up into two different sections, one for photos I specifically took for Instagram and one for photos I took for the blog and then shared a photo or two on Insta. I also try to share a fun background story about each photo and share product info. I figure since the algorithm is so funky and controversial, it would be easier to just have a roundup on the blog!
FEBRUARY INSTAGRAM FASHION ROUNDUP
Who would be crazy enough to purchase a white eyelet top in the winter? Me. The answer is me. And who would be crazy enough to go outside when it’s 20 degrees out to wear said top? Me. Again, the answer is me.
But, seriously though, how freaking cute is this white eyelet top? It is going to be so perfect for spring/summer. I scooped this up quickly because I knew it would sell out fast. It’s technically sold out, but certain sizes come back in stock every now and then so if you are interested then I recommend to keep checking.
And I also just picked up this circle straw bag. Mini straw bags are my weakness for summer and this circle one is no exception. I can already tell it will be such a great staple.
I found this wall on Instagram and conveniently enough it was located in the Lower East Side. I’m sure you guys know by now, but Eddie lives in the Lower East Side and it’s quickly become one of my favorite places. There are so many restaurants, small cafe’s, bakeries and parks. I love just getting out and exploring and seeing what we stumble upon.
I picked up this top from H&M for like $10 and for starters was super excited that this was so affordable and secondly it’s so comfy and cozy. This is my go to work top when I know it’s gonna be a long day and I wanna be comfy. I just pair it with some booties to make it look a little dressier. And this is my go to weekend look if I’m just relaxing.
Look at my little angel! All 10lbs of him. I really wanted to take a cute shot with him for the Lunar New Year since it is the year of the dog, but he was not having it. He was so fidgety and damn near running away from me so I’m lucky I got a few decent shots with him.
I haven’t worn this bell sleeve top in forever. I have it in white as well and I believe it comes in a few more colors. One of the best statement bell sleeves top. I’m totally going to pull it out more when the weather warms up.
Another instagrammable restaurant Eddie & I stumbled upon during our Lower East Side wanderings. I also had just tried the blonde vanilla latte for the first time. I personally really liked it. I mean I added about half a pound of sugar, but it’s become my go-to hot drink at Starbucks.
How cute is my mama?? And yes, we did in fact have coordinating red heart sunglasses.
We took a quick mother/daughter V-day photo on a recent trip to Chinatown. I remember it was seriously so cold that day. I wanted us to wear matching sweaters, but my mom literally said “well I’m not taking off any layers so this is what you get.” Yep, she’s as sassy as she looks.
Tbh, I’ve never been inside or eaten at David’s Cafe, but the exterior was so freaking cute that I couldn’t help but snap a few photos. And tbh again, I don’t know how to ride a bike, but thought the bike in the photo was a nice touch. Yep, you read that right, so pick your jaws up off the floor and let’s move on thank you very much!!
PHOTOS TAKEN FROM THE BLOG FOR INSTAGRAM
If you’ve been following the blog this month then you probably saw that the first two weeks of this month was focused all around Valentine’s Day. It’s one of my favorite “holidays” so I shamelessly always promote it. I managed to rope Eddie into helping me share some date night outfit ideas. I’ve been getting back into the Bachelor this season so naturally I needed roses involved in our photo session!
This blazer has been my fave. The burgundy color was on sale when I picked it up and I’ve been eyeing the black and navy closely because it’s been my fave staple for work.
Another shot of my fave blazer and the prettiest bag for date nights. I picked this Henri Bendel bag up at a sample sale so it’s not currently available online, but I really love their other pieces especially their cross body bags. And have you guys checked out their influencer collection? I think it’s such a cool concept and it’s great seeing bloggers getting some love!
Shoutout to Dana for always supporting my ideas. I know not everyone is into V-Day, but the day doesn’t always have to be about romance so I wanted to do a fun Galentine’s Day post. Between work, a blog and building a brand, we’re both so busy so I really appreciated her making a special guest appearance and we had the best afternoon together.
This was our girls night in look. How cute are these VS silk pjs?? You guys know I’m ride or die for VS and the short silk set is one of my faves!
Girl, stole my look!
I’m kinda obsessing over our coordinating outfits. Dana had just invested in a new designer bag (you can read more about it here) and ya’ll know I have a weakness for a good designer bag so I figured it would be fun for both of us to take our bags out on the town. She has the black version of my blazer and I’m really in love. I for sure need to pick it up because it’s such a great staple!
Thank you so much for reading! I hope you guys enjoyed today’s post and photos. If you want to follow me, you can do so here!
Have a great rest of the week!
