Happy Wednesday everyone!
Now that it’s officially December & officially the holiday season, a Christmas tree is a neccessity. So what better than to honor the age old tradition of heading to a Christmas tree farm, chopping down a tree and taking home that beautiful fresh tree to decorate? I’m assuming that’s how it’s done because I’ve never experienced that and my fake tree still sitting in the box can attest to that. In New York, the closest we get, is our age old tradition of watching the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting or if you really wanna be fancy, buying a fresh tree from the corner set up.
I’ve been seeing Christmas tree farms play the backdrop to a lot of blogger photos so naturally I wanted to get in the spirit and set out to find some fresh tress in the city. We may not have an easily accessible tree farm, but there is no shortage of beautifully decorated Christmas trees in the city. But, my favorite find over the weekend was a fountain turned into a Christmas tree meeting spot. You really can find anything in New York.
I fell in love with this scarf the minute I laid eyes on it and spotted all of the Christmas colors. To really accentuate that vibe, I paired it with my green Sloan pants and a bold red lip. There are a ton of events going on during the holiday season, some super dressy and some super casual and whether you’re meeting some friends to celebrate the holidays or doing something cutesy like ice skating (which you will most definitely not find me doing) or just trying to look cute while sipping some hot coco, you can’t go wrong with some festive colors and a blanket scarf.
