After a long, gloriously relaxing weekend, the last thing I want to do is get up early and deal with the crowded morning commute, but this weekend’s shopping bills are not gonna pay themselves.
I’ve been planning for my one year blogging anniversary since I pretty much hit publish on my first post. I knew I wanted to do something big and something special, but long story short, I lost track of time and July 2nd snuck up on me and here I was unprepared and post-less.
So to mark my one year of blogging style wise, I decided to treat myself and get my hair blown out at Drybar and instead of wearing some crazy outfit, I chose to embrace my go-to style of a great white button down, super distressed boyfriend jeans, fun sunnies, and my weakness for a great designer bag.
I’ve learned so much about myself and about blogging in this one year and I’ve changed so much as well in regards to my style and my personality. When I published my first post, I had just graduated college and was interning at a PR firm, didn’t really have any friends in the city since moving back home, didn’t really have a signature style and pretty much had no idea what I was doing.
Fast forward one year later and I have a full time job as an accessories assistant at Cosmopolitan & Seventeen, I’ve come to terms with the fact that everyone is not going to be on Team Linda and to just let it go, I’ve made a really great group of friends who I can truly be myself with, my style has changed so much and I’m more comfortable with trying new trends and stepping outside of my comfort zone and I’m more confident at work, in my personal life and in regards to blogging.
I honestly don’t know what I would do with my time if I didn’t have my blog and I couldn’t be more happy that this is such a big part of my life. It gets hard sometimes and especially recently I’ve struggled with juggling all of my responsibilities and managing my time, but I couldn’t imagine not blogging. I look forward to what’s to come in my second year of blogging and can’t wait to finally launch all of the changes that I’m planning!
