I don’t think I’ve ever been happier to see a Friday. Seriously this week kicked my butt. The whole Teen Vogue closet team anticipated a quiet & smooth December, but let me tell you this month has proved to be anything but. I’m emotionally & physically exhausted after this week that it makes me tired just thinking about it. Ok. Enough complaining from me. I’m living my dream and I couldn’t be more grateful about that.
After seeing Wendy Nguyen’s outfit post here, I knew I had to have this cape. Unfortunately the white one was sold out in my size when I was ready to take the chance, which actually made me devastated. But, then I started to think about how amazing a classic black cape blazer would be. I keep it pretty simple during the week, sometimes even borderline basic and boring. But, hey when you’re packing trunks for shoots and running around all day, you don’t have time for a high-maintenance designer outfit. I loved the idea of having a simple outfit and then throwing this cape over it to make it a million times better and more interesting…plus my mom refers to it as my Batman cape…so there’s that…
So I finally purchased the Nasty Gal cape and I have to say I’m dying to buy it in every color, especially the blush…which is currently sold out…story of my life. I’m so obsessed with this cape, especially since it’s silhouette looks like a blazer. I dressed it up for my Birthday and dressed it down for work. It’s seriously so versatile and such an amazing, classic piece for a great price. Don’t be surprised if I go crazy and actually buy all the colors…
